More Mini Sessions! {Calgary Family Photographer}

I did more mini sessions last weekend, and loved every second of it. The first family and I share cousins, and memories. Memories of the Special Care Nursery, when both Trena and I delivered our babies early in 2004. Our little preemies are both strong 5 & 3/4 year olds now...this one even showed up for pictures with a shiner. Thank goodness for Photoshop! Thanks Trena and family, it was nice seeing you guys again!

These little redhead cuties live just down the street from me, and have AMAZING manners. Although distracted by the Shannon Hilton Photography Mascots (my kids), we managed to get some awesome shots!

Three Months Old! {Calgary Baby Photographer}

My baby boy is three months old!
My Mom said shortly after Charlie was born that she was so glad I had a son, so I could know the different kind of love. Sure, you love all your kids the same, but the love a mother feels for a son is different that a daughter. After only three months, I already know what she means. It can't be described...but it's different.
I never felt 'done' after my girls, and now my life feels perfect; complete. He is my boy, and although he's only been here for 90 odd days, I feel like he's been here all along. He was the missing piece to the puzzle. It just all 'fits' now.

Me no Want to! {Calgary Child Photographer}

Meet Miss V. She was the winner of Vibe98.5's Cutest Kid Contest, and you will soon see why. She's got it all...the curls, the AMAZING eyes, and oh...she's got the diva in her too! I love a kid with sass, and Miss V has sass! Anything we suggested, "Come sit here", "Come lay on your tummy", Violet would respond with, "Me no want to". And that was final. So cute! We had to bring in reinforcements early...Shannon Hilton Photopgraphy's mascots (my girls), to get Miss V smiling. Soon she was laughing and grinning and giving my oldest daughter hugs...Love the home studio moments! Oh, and she has the coolest parents too! C&K, thanks for being so cool with the 'home studio moments'...my kids running in and out, and the dog! Nothing like a little chaos to add life to a photoshoot! Enjoy!

Teasers from Mini-Sessions {Calgary Child Photographer}

It took me 58 hours from the last session, until all the galleries were up from last weekend. In that 58 hours, I stopped to sleep for about 10 hours combined (I do have a new baby, remember...there's not a lot of sleeping going on here). I also stopped to get my girls to and from school, and I made one selfish trip to Starbucks. I even ate in front of the computer. For you, my clients!

Daughter {Calgary Newborn Photographer}

Friends of mine just had their second daughter, and took advantage of the free mini sessions on the weekend. Little Alexandra was not happy to be here, but I managed to get some good shots. Daddy is a tough guy, but is very comfortable being a Daddy. Wasn't scared to do the arm balance shot at all. I think everyone else in the room was...but he wasn't!

Official Launch Day! {Calgary Family Photographer}

Today is the day! I would like to officially introduce "Shannon Hilton Photography".
The studio is open, and I had lots of awesome people come out last weekend for the studio mini-sessions. Thanks to everyone.

Free Studio Practice Sessions!

My studio will be ready next weekend! (This puts just a little pessure on my hubby...as the electrical still needs to be done, as well as some more drywall has to go up! I didn't say it was going to be a pretty studio, by the way!)

Only sittings held during these practice sessions will be promised the pre-launch pricing (and NO sitting fee!)

Welcome to the Blog, and to Shannon Hilton Photography! This is an exciting new venture for me and I can't wait to share all my favourite images here.
Shannon Hilton Photography is officially 'opening for business' November 16, 2009. At that time, I hope to have my studio fully operational (but will also be able for location shoots).
I hope to have my new website up ASAP, but whatever it looks like, it is here: www.shannonhiltonphotography.com. It will look WAY more cool in a month or so!
